According to the Florida Traffic Court rules, everyone cited with a non-criminal infraction shall be brought to trial within 180 days of being given the ticket.  If a trial is not held within 180 days the person given the ticket shall be entitled to a dismissal.

But be careful.  Until the ticket is filed you cannot pay it or elect driving school.  You or your attorney my file a notice with the court of a not guilty plea within the first 30 days of being given the ticket otherwise you may end up having to pay late fees and possibly have your license suspended.  Because the officer did not file in a prompt manner does not excuse the person cited from following the rules.

At The Ticket Fighter we take the worry out of dealing with these deadlines.
